What Did You Order?: Butternut lasagna and clam cream sauce over noodles

This was my first time ordering, I asked the owner what would he recommended one of his dishes. He described the clam cream sauce over noodles and butternut lasagna. I decided on both dishes, love them both. I rate the butternut lasagna a 10 for veggie dish and 9 for the clam cream sauce. I suggest you try it!

Concur with everything Sophia said down below. However, I had the pumpkin cannoli instead of the strawberry cheesecake one.

What Did You Order?: Lobster Lasagna

I really like this truck-it's one of my top 5 favorites in D.C. However, I've been missing the manicotti that used to be on the menu and wondering when it will come back. It was nice to have a meatless option and I always looked forward to it each week. The lobster lasagna was good in that it had nice flavor but not realistic as far as price-I just wouldn't spend that much on lunch on a weekly basis so I've been skipping Basil Thyme and opting for more budget friendly trucks. Hopefully the manicotti will see its way back to its rightful place on the menu board.

What Did You Order?: Giuseppe Combo

This is probably the best food truck meal I've had in DC. I was skeptical about lasagna from a food truck, as it's not a combination I think of when I think of food truck food. I was wrong to be skeptical. The Giuseppe is hearty, thanks to the portobello mushrooms. The accompanying salad is also well prepared.

What Did You Order?: Linda, salad and strawberry cheesecake cannoli

I've been dying to try this truck but always forget when the day comes around. I finally did today. I went intending to try the Lisetta, however, they've stopped it for a bit opting for lighter options right now. I had the Linda, which was awesome. The salad was crisp and delicious and not overly dressed (the dressing was VERY good). And to top it off, that strawberry cheesecake cannoli was AMAZING. The filling was so delicate, light and creamy; the shell was crispy. I was expecting a thick strawberry cheesecake consistency, but it was perfect for a cannoli. I will be going back to the Basil Thyme food truck!

What Did You Order?: Lobster Lasagna combo

I tried Basil Thyme for the first time today, ordered the Lobster Lasagna...AMAZING, great flavor, I really didn't know what to expect but it was awesome and a good-sized portion. But SO tasty!! I tried the cannoli (strawberry cheesecake) It was good, I'm not a big cannoli person but very authentic tasting. Adding the combo is a great value.

The lasagna was good, very sweet, and full of flavor. The salad was just ok, and a bit too much. The canonli was delicious.
Good alternative to sandwiches and kabobs.

4.0 5.0 27 27 This is the best food truck that visits our office building. The lasagna is always wonderful. Butternut squash and the traditional are my favorites. They will allow you to split Basil Thyme DC Food Truck
