I really wanted to fall in love with this truck but I was a little disappointed. Don't get me wrong, the pulled pork was tender and perfectly cooked, but the carrots, cilantro and cucumber should have been pickled and were not. The sub roll bread was very good as well. The sauce they put on the sub roll was good too. However, I would try to make like a sauce to swirl onto the meat when it's on the roll and marinate the cucumbers in a little sugar and apple cider vinegar with the cilantro and carrots. I was expecting a burst of bold flavors in my first bite and I got bland, but well-cooked pork. So when you order a bonmi sandwich, expect good pork, little flavor, and non-pickled veggies.

I really wanted to like this - the guys were super nice and gave me extra cilantro. But the chicken is greasy and fatty (could have passed for pork), the sandwich fell apart and the "chicken" was an unpleasant, almost too sweet flavor and was drowned in unidentifiable brown stuff. Also, definitely not enough food for $8. Super disappointed.

I enjoyed my Garlic Soy Sauce Chicken sandwich. The fresh cilantro added a nice zing of flavor, and the amount of vegetables on my sandwich was just right.
I am looking forward to trying more of their offerings.

They were out of the garlic lemongrass chicken so I tried the butternut squash instead. The squash could have been cooked a bit more. The spicey mayo definitely had a nice kick to it and the toppings were fresh.
That being said, the sandwich is small and not worth the $8 I paid for it. I've had bonmi from other food trucks that were much larger for the same price. It was worth it to try but I don't think I'll be coming back.
