This was absolutely the worst pulled pork I have ever had. The pork tasted burnt, sauce did not begin the help, the slaw was basically tasteless and bun was so dry it one day from being stale! Absolutely a waste of $$!

Oct. 28, Franklin Park location:
Brisket sandwich was terrible, 1/3 of the brisket was pure fat --so if you enjoy eating jellied but barbecued flavored fat, then this is the food for you. Portion was dismal.. barely enough to cover the bun. For $11 you get meat on the bun, no coleslaw, no sides, just meat on the bun. Too expensive IMO. Will not eat here again. Back to El Fuego!

Big BBQ fan... Nothing I love more than a good pulled pork sandwich!! I ordered a pulled pork from this truck yesterday in DC/12th st SW. It was the WORST I've ever had... It was like eating a camp fire... Toooooo much smoke on that butt! Sorry. The beans were too smokey... The friggin slaw was smokey too! WTH? Slaw is supposed to be the The neutral cold crunchy refresher... Oh, and it was on the driest whole wheat Kaiser roll ever! Yuk! You got to drop that pork on a cheap white bun so it soaks up the BBQ sauce, you know? My coworker unfortunately agrees... Sorry but must be honest!

Thursday, June 12 - The man lied about what he served me. I repeatedly said no mac&cheese. Before I paid him I asked him again. But he was slick and spread the little meat over the noodles. My co-worker and I took a cab from 950 F Street, N.W. When I arrived back to the office they had filled my container with a lot of noodles with barbecue sauce and only 2 fork bits of meat that was so dryed out I could not distinquish what I was eating. The noodles were burned black! on the underside and the bean were terrible! I wasted my lunch hours in a taxi, I tossed my money down the sewage drain and I was left hungry until getting home to fix a healthy dinner. Terrible what the employee did to me and my co-worker who ordered the same thing and received the same. This experience will probably end my eating at a food truck.

Sandwich good as usual and a very pleasant lady serving the food; please send her over to Metro Center more often.

This truck is not one of the regulars here at my location, so I decided to try it even though one of my favorites was here today.

Wow!

The sauces are incredible, and the portions are large. The smoked chicken was tender and not too salty. The slaw was too vinegar-y for me, but it was still a fun addition. The loaded smoked beans were delicious and just the right size for a side. But the number one BEST thing about this truck are the sauces! I ordered my chicken with spicy sauce and with double-extra memphis sauce. The spicy sauce was actually spicy, unlike most other food trucks where "spicy" is still super weak. The memphis sauce is so incredibly delicious, which made me involuntarily smile non-stop, and the spicy sauce gives a wonderfully nice, dull burn! (I read a review saying the portions were skimpy, but today I watched them pile it up high on all the orders before mine and then on mine as well!)

I have been eating from this truck for well over a year now and while today’s sandwich (Brisket) was pretty darn good, as usual. The new man working the tuck today at metro center was not constructing sandwiches that are up to the generous Carnivore standards that I have grown to love and respect oh these many months. In the future please let new staffers know that it’s better to run out of a particular product making regular customers happy ( Folks can always opt for another choice as I have had to do many times in the past) than to try and parse out a particular product thus trying to serve more customers and leaving everybody disappointed.

Rude, slow service. Ran completely out of ALL food at 1245, but didn't say anything to the rest of the people in the line, standing in the cold.T

This is usually a good truck. Not today or for a while.

This is only the second food truck I have gone to and I'm glad I tried it out. The meat was cooked perfectly and both meats tasted awesome by themselves. The sauce was what I expect from a BBQ sauce.

Best Mexican Burritos and Tortas almost convinced me never to try another food truck.

Carnivore BBQ is a food truck serving pulled pork and beef brisket. The owner got his start with a cart called Old Smokey (pictured below + more details on the Carnivore BBQ website). The 1988 Chevy C20 pickup truck started serving under the radar on March 2, 2011, but was added to Food Truck Fiesta on March 8, 2011.  They launched a full-fledged food truck in the Dec 2011 time frame (pictured below).  On March 2, 2012, they launched their 3rd truck, but only intend to have 2 trucks out serving on any given day.  On Oct 15, 2012, a 4th truck was launched (their 3rd full-fledged food truck).

In early March 2013, Carnivore BBQ open a shop in Hollins Market in Baltimore, MD.
