What Did You Order?: Steak & Frites

This is my go-to lunch on Thursdays. And not just mine - a significant portion of my office eats here too. The menu is exciting, and changes regularly with what is in season. However, the steak & frites are a permanent. Why? Because they're the best thing you could have for lunch.

You get a generous portion of steak - grilled to your taste, along with a mound of french fries tossed in truffle oil and sea salt, and a small seasonal salad so you feel less guilty about indulging. It's all delicious.

Every week I look at the menu and am tempted to try something new. But I never do. because the steak & frites are really that damn good.

Although coworkers will vouch for the Indonesian port ribs! They sure look and smell fabulous. But I'm a committed steak & frites girl.

Oh, and a quick not about service - which is also top notch. Unlike most trucks, they have someone outside the truck taking your order - and interacting with you as a PERSON! Become a regular and you'll be greeted with fist pumps. Miss a week and they'll comment the next time you're back. It's nice to be known and welcomed every week.

What Did You Order?: Braised Pork Belly Sliders

Presentation was great, though I was concerned at first because the pork bellies looked fatty. One bite put my concerns to rest. The flavors were indeed thoughtful and high quality. I'll definitely be back to try something else.

Can't believe I've pass this food truck up so many times when it has been at Franklin Park. Don't think it will happen any more. The steak was excellent and cooked just as ordered. The wait was not long and customer service was great. It was a nice steak and fries lunch.

Very friendly and wonderful food! Fresh ingredients, highly recommended.

What Did You Order?: Ham and cheese sandwich

Very good flavors, especially in the cucumber salad on the side. However, the sandwich was more bread than filling. There was so little meat that it was difficult to even taste. Because of that, my opinion is it's priced too high. I probably wouldn't order a sandwich there again unless I knew it would have more meat and fillings in general. I'd love to try the fish tacos, though, esp. if it's local fish.

What Did You Order?: Ribs

I've been two this truck twice and its been amazing both times. Today, I got the ribs at Farragut Square and they were unbelievable. It's the kind of lunch you'd get at a Central etc. but for $10. I've had the steak and truffle frites before too and they were equally amazing. One thing to know, however: they don't move fast. But if you're willing to wait for 5-10 min for your food, you'll have great lunch.

DELICIOUS!!
Simply amazing food. The best I ever had from a truck. There were 4 big ribs, with the meat falling off the bone and so very tasty (Polynesian sauce?) with cucumbers and vermicelli... Just Great! Looking forward to trying more of your recipes.
