Remember the comments that we wrote in November to support DC food trucks to, in part, help get rid of the 10-foot unobstructed sidewalk rule that would eliminate food trucks at 8 of the 10 most popular locations?
Apparently, not all of those comments made it through (possibly, up to 1,000 comments) to DCRA and/or got posted to the public comment record. You can view the public comments here to see if yours made it through. DCRA is not taking any chances, though, and has reopened the public comment period starting today, through December 28. Tim Carman from the Washington Post has some more details and quotes regarding the drama.
Comments can be submitted:
- At www.RulesThatWork.org
- By e-mail to DCVendingRegs@dc.gov

I know mine did not make it. After trying to send three times, all three times I received a mail daemon notice stating that the email could not be delivered. I do not recall now if it was a bad address or a mail box full error. It simply left me with the impression that my input was not welcomed, or wanted.
Very interesting! Thanks for letting us know that your comments never made it through, too.
