The Fojol Bros, DC’s first food truck, announced on Sunday that they have retired the last of their 3 food trucks due to the aging fleet of 1950’s – 60’s trucks. The Washington City Paper has more info. Also, the Fojol Bros’ Elastic Highways project is on hold, but they are still operating their kitchen in Hyattsville. We are all curious to see what the Fojols’ will surprise us with next!

I’m inconsolable. RT “@foodtruckfiesta: NEWS: Fojol Bros Retires Trucks, Elastic Highways On Hold @fojolbros http://t.co/gum9DCeOWr”

Sad to see them go. Personally, I wasn’t a fan of the food so I’m not really upset by this, nor by a lot of the negitive controversy over the years, however they did legitimize and really were a growth factor in today’s FT scene so it’s sad to see them go.
🙁
@foodtruckfiesta @fojolbros Sad news!
