A FTF reader emailed in requesting an update to the list made in 2011 of food trucks serving gluten free offerings.  I’ll get the list started with what I’ve observed during the past year, but please comment, email or tweet me for additions!

• Basil Thyme – serves an eggplant lasagna that’s Gluten free – it usually sells-out, so get there on the early side of lunch hour
• Brown Bag – coconut curry chicken is gluten free
• Captain Cookie – has had gluten free cookies available
• Chatpat – everything is gluten free, except for the samosas
• Crepes Parfait – Crepes can be ordered gluten free
• DC Ballers – their falafel is gluten free
• District Taco – their queso dip and chips are gluten free
• Fojol Bros – All three of the fojol bros. trucks – Merlindia, Volathai, and Benethiopia – offer gluten free options
• Froyo To Go – all offerings are gluten free
• Goodies – their all natural frozen custard is gluten free
• Hungry Heart – has a gluten free pasta dish
• Meski Healthy 2 Go – dishes are gluten free when rice is ordered instead of bread
• Street Cream – all ice cream flavors are gluten free
• Sweetbites – regularly serves gluten-free cupcakes
• Top Dog – recommends a bun-less dog to make the meal gluten free

From 2011’s list:

• Carnivore BBQ – recommends BBQ and slaw, sans the bread, to make the serving gluten free
• Curbside Cupcake – has gluten free chocolate and vanilla cupcakes very frequently
• Red Hook Lobster Pound – serves a lobster salad when you request a gluten free roll
• Tasty Kabob – with chic peas over salad and lamb over salad / salad and chic peas sides
