ARLnow reported yesterday that the Institute for Justice (IJ) is now getting involved in a legal battle to help Arlington’s food truck operate normally.  Arlington’s new stepped-up anti-food truck enforcement states that if trucks don’t move every hour, they face being charged with a class 1 misdemeanor (i.e. the same as a DUI).  Even the Arlington county police sound a bit peeved at having to babysit food trucks: they have to watch trucks for hours to make sure they move on time.  And, then when the trucks move, police have to determine if the truck moved far enough.

Thanks to David for the tip!
