Mighty Dog And Acai food truck will be licensed in DC and Montgomery County.  The menu will consist of gourmet hot dogs and Acai berry shakes.  They plan on launching in early 2012.

Here is a sneak peek at the menu:

1. The Beefy Dog: is a steamed, then grilled Nathan’s hotdog surrounded by slow cooked shredded beef (ropa vieja) that is marinated in a tomato based stew. We top the Beefy Dog with black beans and white rice and crown him with a sweet plantain and served in a Brazilian sweet bread then heat pressed to serve!

2. The Porky Dog: is a steamed, then grilled Nathan’s hotdog wrapped with thinly sliced sweet potato slices, surrounded by a slow cooked juicy shredded pork (pernil) and topped with a zesty Peruvian red onion pico mix and served in a Brazilian sweetbread then heat pressed to serve!

3. The Mighty Dog: is a Nathan’s hotdog that is cooked in a tomato based sauce and coated with a mashed potato spread and our special “Mighty” sauce. Topped with our pico de gallo vinaigrette, ketchup/mustard, kernel corn, Brazilian soft cheese and crowned with tiny fried potato sticks and served in a Brazilian sweet bread then heat pressed to serve!

4. The Kickin Chicken Dog: is a steamed, then grilled Nathan’s hotdog surrounded by shredded chicken that is drenched in our tomato based stew, surrounded with our pico de gallo mix and served in a Brazilian sweet bread then heat pressed to serve!

Aside from these hotdogs they will selling bowls and shakes of acai all day.  Acai berries are rich in antioxidants.
