I shared my disappointment with the meal I had last week (the cheese wasn't on the Mallorquin sandwich, the "cured meat" turned out to be a paste something like canned deviled ham only darker in color like pastrami). They offered to make it up to me by not charging me today. It is spot on--the "meal" option comes with a side of potatoes or soup, a sandwich, and a small flan for $20. Heaven! The Spanish pulled pork is perfectly prepared and very flavorful, and you can't go wrong with either the soup or signature potatoes. Thanks so much for offering to make it right.

I have rated this truck more highly before but this time I was disappointed. When I asked for a description of the Mallorquin sandwich, I was told it had "spicy cured meat, cheese, egg and honey". I assumed it would come on the wonderful bread they use for the pulled pork, but this was served to me on regular square white bread (although it was nicely toasted). My sandwich was supposed to have cheese on it but there was no cheese at all. It was also supposed to have honey on it but I really couldn't taste any sign of it. The "spicy cured meat" turned out to be a thin layer of some kind of ground meat paste, rather than slices of meat. The egg was runny, as promised, and was definitely the highlight. Seeing as it was made of a thin layer of meat paste for lack of a better word (think deviled ham consistency but pastrami color?), had no cheese, no honey and was served on white bread rather than a nice roll I feel that $13 is too much for this. This sandwich was much smaller than what others ordered, and much smaller than the pulled pork I normally order. I asked for the deal including the potatos and flan, but they were out of flan, so I ended up paying $13 for the sandwich and $6 for what turned out to be a very small portion of potatoes. The flavor of the potatoes was great as always but the portion was quite small considering the price. Will try a different sandwich next week for sure.

Today at L'Enfant the pork sandwich had way less meat on it than last week so it's only rating 3 stars this round. The flavor was there, but the meat was a tad bit MIA. The other issue I have is I ordered what I thought was soup (it turned out not to be), because, as I've mentioned in the past it's hard to tell what is what on the menu board since none of the items have ingredients or prep information included, and all the names of the dishes are in Spanish. Chicken noodle soup was offered (in English!) and the item below that soup heading was noted as chickpeas and spinach. When I ordered the soup, then specified chickpeas and spinach it would have been nice if the guy taking my money would have pointed out that it was a vegetable side dish, not a soup. Guys, your food is good (especially when the proportions are right as they were last week) but not having any way to tell what's in the dishes from the menu board is a real draw back. Other trucks with ecclectic/varied menu items (including lots of off beat ingredients) manage to spell everyting all out on a handwritten menu board (Cirque comes to mind).

I've been wanting to try this truck for a long time, and was disappointed with the club. It wasn't bad, but was nothing special. My main gripe is that this little sandwich that could have been made at any nice deli cost $9. For that price the sandwich should be much larger. I was hoping for an original creation, not a pedestrian mini-meal.

This is by far one of the best trucks that comes thru the L'Enfant plaza area (only problem is they don't come often enough!) I had the spanish style pulled pork sandwich and it was awesome. Only critique I have is it would be more user friendly to have a description of the menu items available so customers can make choices while waiting in line. Everything was listed in spanish with no list of ingredients or indication of how it was prepared. I wasn't the only one in line who agreed that this would greatly improve the food truck dining experience and result in more sales. If something sounds wonderful I may just have to add it to my order, whereas I may not take the time to ask for a full description of seven different items, including two soups and a side, if I'm getting a sandwich. Great food and very consistent quality!

THe sandwich bread is great, the caterer/customer service guy was super nice. the soup ranks up there with any 4 star.
I love Coke, but hate corn syrup so this coke with cane sugar was cold.

Usually have good experience. the steak and blue cheese sand is to kill for. they were out of pork burger so got the chicken sand (1/15/13 L'Enfant) - where the hell was the chicken!? Enormous bun and only enough chicken for maybe half the sand (that is being generous). More like El Cheapo Rip off Pollo! If you like a BREAD sand this is you deal! Sorry, today just one star.

Delicious sandwich! The bread was perfectly crispy and the ratio of ingredients was just right. So much great flavor. The sandwich does look small, and people looked kind of disappointed as they took their orders, but it's way more filling than I expected. Not the most food per dollar, but there are other trucks that give you a big, cheap meal and this was the tastiest food truck lunch I've ever had. I'll definitely be coming back here.

The sandwich was delicious and the quality of ingredients was high. It WAS small, but I wouldn't call it a bread stick. Anyone who compares the excellent baguette to an Olive Garden bread stick has eaten there too many times!
Lost one star for lack of diet sodas.
This is José Andrés’ first food truck! The truck serves Spanish cuisine at the moment, but there is a thought that Andrés may change the menu (and even the truck name) at a moment’s notice! Current menu items are sandwiches ranging in price from $8 – $20 (most are $10).
