Food truck fans at L’Enfant have a new truck to dine at today, called The Stress Reliever. Known as PG County’s first food truck, the Stress Reliever operators recently secured their DC permit and are serving in both municipalities now.
On the menu for today is: fried whiting, butterflied shrimp, Killadelphia chicken cheese steak (roasted chicken pulled), the monstrosity (meatball sub), the teridaktial (turkey burger w/turkey bacon pepper medley, onions) and the chikanza (a chicken salad sandwich). Everything comes with fries and the chicken salad sandwich comes with chips. Be sure to give their special tea mix a try, called CRANK.

So first, super nice guys on the truck, just really really pleaseant. I think I had the second order at L ‘Enfant today and the Killadelphia sandwich, comes with a heap of fries and is enough to share or save half for dinner, was going fast and very good.
Some guy in his “techni-colored shorts” and red T-shirt starts getting all worked up about whether they had a DC permit or not. From his behavior I’d say he was another food truck operator and was concerned with “poachers”, which by the way if that term hasn’t been used to label food truck vendors without permits, you’re welcome and no charge.
If he was another vendor I can see him being concerned with poachers (there’s that word again), but the dude was walking around everybody waiting to get their lunch smoking a cigarette. I mean come on, I have never stood around that guy and expelled some noxious gas (and those who know me know I could) while he was waiting for lunch!
So my words to him, keep your butt out of other people’s business, keep your butt out of my face when I’m about to eat lunch, and I’ll keep my butt out of yours.

It was probably one of the guys from the hot dog cart there by the metro entrance. They are always giving trucks and their customers a hard time.

Killadelphia chicken cheese steak…who thought of roasted pulled chicken? DEE-LISH!!!!!!!! You guys need to come to 4th Street SW on Friday evenings, that spot will be a sho’nuff winner. Good luck guys. Wonderful food, GREAT selection for us non-red meat eaters.
