Today, July 20, veteran DC food truck, TaKorean, is opening its 3rd retail location at 13th & F St NW! Full details:
TaKorean is thrilled to announce the opening of it’s first location in Northwest DC on July 20, 2015. The local fast-casual chain will debut an extended pop-up location in the Eat at National Place food hall located at 13th & F Street, NW.
TaKorean’s new downtown restaurant has entrances at 13th & F Street, NW and 1331 Pennsylvania Avenue at Freedom Plaza. TaKorean will have a grand opening on Monday the 20th and Tuesday the 21st. Customers who bring a friend on Monday and Tuesday will receive 50% off their entire order. Temporary store hours will be Monday through Friday from 11am to 8 pm and closed on the weekend. TaKorean will open on Saturdays at a later date.
TaKorean will serve it’s unique menu of Asian inspired taco combinations and bowls to consistently provide customers with fresh, healthy and delicious food.
Made from scratch using the freshest ingredients available, TaKorean serves Korean-style Bulgogi beef, Dak Galbi chicken, Bo Ssam roasted pork, Hoisin caramelized tofu and a seasonal vegetable (currently green beans) with a choice of kimchi-style pickled cabbage slaw, napa-romaine slaw or spiced kale. All soft corn-tortilla tacos, slaw bowls and rice (choice of white or brown) bowls come with an array of toppings to add an extra kick – a cool lime crema, a tangy avocado crema, Sriracha chili sauce, Korean style salsa roja, fresh cilantro and roasted sesame seeds. In addition, TaKorean offers an organic soft egg for bowls and a homemade Korean style salsa roja with multigrain blue tortilla chips. TaKorean serves fantastic vegetarian and vegan options.
TaKorean will now be able to service patrons in the heart of downtown Washington. Eat at National Place is a sophisticated and vibrant food hall that opened in 2005. “We’ve been serving our food in this part of the city for many years from our food truck. Now we’re pleased to be able to offer a permanent solution to our loyal customers in downtown Washington. We are excited to continue those relationships and cultivate new ones as we have in other parts of the city,” says founder and CEO Mike Lenard.
