One of the BEST sandwiches in DC for lunch. Great service, great food. Bread is soft, well prepared. Highly recommended!

A good sandwich but I won't eat there again until they need to rethink the ticket process. Having the guy who handles the money give you a laminated number which the sandwich-maker then takes from you sort of defeats the hygiene purpose of separating money and customer from food prep. Ick.

My first forray into the new gourmet food trucks...AMAZING! The Dean Koontz is insanely delicious. Roast beef that is flavored, on a tasty baguet, with a horseraddish sauce. Def in the top 3 of my fave trucks in DC.

What Did You Order?: Calder/Pollack

Easily my favorite sandwich food truck in DC. The bread really makes the sandwich, and I tend to alternate between the Calder and Pollack. Everything tastes fresh, and quite a few steps up from local sandwich shops. Always on the lookout for this truck and hope they visit L St. more often!

That was a fabulous sandwich. Great bread, a nice combination of veggies which were cooked to near perfection, and the garlic aiolo gives it a full flavor finish. One of the best sandwiches I have had.

Please come to Capitol South more.

What Did You Order?: Gorky Ficelle

Hearty sandwich with tender ham and thick slice mozarella and tomatoes. Layers of tastiness with really good pesto and fresh basil leaves. Love the Kalamata olives, but I did crunch down on a small piece of olive pit (otherwise I would have given sandwich 5 stars). I will order again, but will chew more carefully in case of olive pit pieces. Crew is very friendly and informative.

Really tasty, and a very good value for 7 bucks. I would have liked more meat on my sandwich. I'll be back to try some of the other sandwiches.

The bread is soft on the inside, crunchy on the outside, and the fillings were delicious. My only criticism is that the sandwich wasn't cut into halves, so it was a little hard to eat as one long sandwich. But in terms of taste, this was delicious.

What Did You Order?: Newman

This is the first time I have tried this truck. I ordered the Newman and found it to be the best sandwich I have had in years. The bread was the perfect texture of chewy on the inside with a little crunch on the outside. The fillings were generous and each item was prepared to its own level of perfection. After the first bite, I did not want to ever finish the sandwich, because the flavors mixed amazingly together. They chose just the right items to put on this sandwich. Can't wait to try a different one next time.

Headed back to bring the ruckus to the streets in early May, new owners are excited to take over this wonderful brand and put our their unique stamp on it.  They look forward to seeing all their past fans and meeting all the new ones and showing them what a local DC chef and his tenacious business partner can do.  Look for some old favorites and some exciting, new ficelles to come rolling your way.
