DC truck source ledger: schedules, menus and booking
This ledger records where 20 DC-area operators publish schedule, menu and booking information. Use it to trace a finder link back to the operator’s own website and to distinguish a published service footprint from a current stop. The two dated public stops found in this edition are retained only as an appendix.
Follow the source trail
The operator finder filters the 20 records by cuisine, published service footprint, schedule channel and booking or preorder route. Its rows navigate to the operator’s information; they do not calculate today’s stops. Each schedule destination is paired with the operator-owned page that identifies it. Where the inspected website supplies no schedule destination, the record says so.
| First five operators | Source finding | What it establishes |
|---|---|---|
| DC Slices | Find Us page with embedded calendar | Where the operator publishes a schedule |
| Captain Cookie | Locations and weekday truck interface | A channel separate from store listings |
| Peruvian Brothers | Food-truck rental page | A booking service, not public attendance |
| Rocklands | Vending and catering page | Service information, not a dated stop |
| Swizzler1 | Operator says trucks are no longer on the road | Restaurant and other catering remain separate |
The directory explains how to read these source types. An operator can publish a menu without a truck schedule, or a catering page without any walk-up service. Captain Cookie’s weekday interface includes private-event labels; Fava Pot’s menu gives restaurant locations and a truck-origin history. Those facts do not fill in an intended visit’s date or access conditions23.
Inspect a field, not just a name
The JSON retains source IDs, observation dates, status and explanatory notes for the comparison fields. Unknown means the inspected evidence did not establish a value. It never means zero, closed or unavailable everywhere. An explicit statement is different: Swizzler says its trucks are no longer on the road, while its restaurant and other catering remain separate1. Published DC, Maryland and Virginia service areas describe the operator’s stated footprint, not its position when you open the finder.
A publisher date describes a page or announcement; an observation date describes when we read it. An event date describes proposed service. Footer copyright years do not supply missing update dates. The schedule destinations for DC Slices and Big Cheese remain useful links even when an embedded calendar yields no readable entries45.
Social-profile destinations are links only. Their provenance comes from the operator’s website, and their posts have not been scraped or republished. A later change to a destination needs a new source check. The edition date does not imply that an automatic daily refresh is running.
Dated public stops found in this edition
This appendix preserves two source findings from the 24 October 2026 review. Both are in Fairfax, Virginia. They are dated examples of what the sources said, not operator-finder results, live locations or continuing recommendations.
| Operator | Published date | Truck hours | Published place |
|---|---|---|---|
| Roaming Coyote67 | 29 October 2026 | 16:00–20:00, local time | Bunnyman Brewing, Fairfax, Virginia |
| Roaming Coyote89 | 31 October 2026 | 11:00–15:00, local time | Fairfax Funky Flea, Fairfax, Virginia |
The market’s published opening time is 09:00, while the truck notice starts at 11:00. The appendix preserves the truck’s narrower window89. Two other candidates remain unresolved: Harvest Party has a time conflict, and the Washington Spirit festival’s admission conditions were not established. Their evidence remains in the research record rather than becoming tool output101112.
Download and reuse the annotations
Download the canonical JSON, CSV, source ledger and method. The method describes the sample, source limitations and how each operator-owned referral was recorded. No separate events feed powers the finder.
Original annotations and compilation use CC BY 4.0. Operator menus, prose, images and feeds retain their own rights. No full source bodies are republished. Rows, findings and filter results are unsponsored; a missing value is not a judgment about the operator’s quality.
