I am so very sorry to hear that this truck is out of commission. I've looked for it everyday for the past two months and figured I'd do some investigating. I truly hope they can find a way to get back on the road. I'll try to find the Hyattsville location . . . like soon!!

First time trying the Volathai truck and I really enjoyed it. As a vegetarian, I had the 2 veggie options, tofu pad thai and green green curry. The curry came on top of sticky white rice. The green curry has a little heat so be careful - I loved it but it might be a little too spicy for some. The curry was also unimaginative in its choice of veggies - purely brussel sprouts - there are so many other great veggies that can be used as well. I would also have preferred one or the other as a full box instead of the "pick two" as they are both such different flavours. However, both items were delicious and filled me up all afternoon, so I will definitely return to this truck, and try the other Fojol trucks as well.

I love Indian food and just can't seem to find a good Indian truck.
Butter chicken has decent flavor and the chicken was tender.
I wish there was a veggie option other than potatoes. The meal came with rice so 2 starches isn't really a balanced meal. I would have preferred a spinach or lentil option.

Food at Merlindia (Indian) is outstanding, but -1 star for customer service. Communicating with them is like talking to a foreign mystic. They should spend less time picking out costumes and more time talking to their customers - daily menu, why their trucks have vanished, etc.

Food was very tasty and I’ll stop by again, but it might work better if the cardamom was removed from the pods before adding it to the dish. The pods are a little fibrous and difficult to chew so it might work better if you remove the cardamom seeds from the pods before adding them to the dish you are cooking.
I did enjoy the stick of cinnamon in the lentils, because I like to chew on cinnamon sticks after a meal, but most people might not like having a stick of cinnamon in their food. Suggest adding the whole spices in a bag made of cheese cloth and then removing the bag after your done cooking and getting ready to serve the food.

I was sincerely disappointed with my food today. Maybe it was because it was approaching 1:35 when I ordered it (late lunch) but all the food was extremely salty, the butter chicken had three bones and the spinach and cheese tasted burnt, additionally I had one small piece of cheese with the spincah and cheese selection. Seemed to be a last ditch effort to sell food for the day, when in actually it should have just been thrown out to sustain a happy customer who would come back.
This was disappointing. I would like a refund as I threw out over half the lunch.

I will walk nearly a mile to hunt down FB's butter chicken. Love, love, love, their chicken. Tender, mildy spiced red chicken. I do wish they gave a bit more rice. It is great when they offer chutney sauce, but it isn't always offered. My 2nd favorite is their Thai truck. It is fine. I'll walk 1/4 a mile for their pad thai.

This review regards the Ethiopian food truck. The beets are an interesting dish I haven't had before. They cut the injira, which isn't typical in Ethiopian food I've had previously. Generally, tasty, but feels a touch inauthentic.

I normally love the Thai truck but today something was just not right. The chicken pad Thai was dry with just a hint of peanut, 3 tiny bite size pieces of chicken and 2 slivers of scallion. sad face. come on guys...
Fojol Brothers (pronounced FO-GOAL Ok, it seems like they are pronouncing it as fojol, with a “J”) has 3 food trucks and 1 lassipop van. The truck names are Merlindia (indian cuisine), Benethiopia (ethiopian cuisine), Volathai (thai cuisine) and Rolling Silence which dispenses lassipops. Vegetarian and meat dishes are served basmati rice and there are lassipops for dessert. Fojol Bros. are nationally famous for their brightly decorated truck and even brighter costumes, complete with fake mustaches. Pro-tip: the Fojol Bros lay brightly-colored blankets on the grass near the truck for customers to grab a seat and enjoy their meal.
On November 3, 2010, Fojol Bros launched their 2nd food truck serving ethiopian cuisine called, Fojol Bros of Benethiopia. Fojol Bros also have a 3rd truck (really a van) called Rolling Silence which dispenses lassipops first seen on August 12, 2011. Volathai launched on Jan 3, 2012 serving Thai cuisine.
On March 23, 2014, Fojol Bros announced that they were retiring their trucks as the transmission broke on their last truck. Their Elastic Highways project was also reportedly on hold, but they were keeping their Hyattsville kitchen in operation.
