Georgetown ANC 2E is meeting tonight and an item on the agenda is DC’s food trucks, or rather, their right to operate in Georgetown.  All of the drama is presented on Georgetown Metropolitan.

At last month’s ANC 2E meeting, a Georgetown restaurant lawyer requested that the ANC outright oppose the proposed updates to DC’s decades-old vending laws.  The Georgetown Metropolitan seems to think that the ANC members didn’t take all of the bait, but did come to a general consensus that food trucks shouldn’t be allowed on Georgetown’s residential streets.  Unfortunately, that probably includes streets around Glover Park (site of the farmer’s market) and Georgetown University where students demand food trucks.

If you are a Georgetown resident and have some input, stop on by the ANC meeting at 6:30pm (2/27/2012), 3265 S St NW!
