Mangialardo & Sons Inc. and get a G-Man or Big G. Both are bigger, better, and less expensive. https://plus.google.com/117604349968084733031/about?gl=us&hl=en

Been there multiple times, and the sandwiches are always delicious. One of the best sandwiches available at a Truck in DC.

This truck has phenomenal deli meats and cheeses sliced fresh for each sandwich. Owner is very friendly, bread and veggies are always fresh. The subs are large and I usually end up saving my chips for another day. Sandwiches alone are $8. Chips are plain Utz. If you go with vinegar and oil on your sandwich make sure to get some paper towels from the truck. As noted the wait is a little long for a cold sub, but worth while in MHO.

The sub is pretty good. Would have like a little more prosciutto and didn't like the Mortadella (seemed more ham than mortadells) capacol was decent (could have been spicier).
Good finish with shredded lettuce, tomato and mix of hot and sweet peppers.
Maybe a little too much oil and vinegar...but, I ate the sandwich right away so it didn't have time to get soggy.
All in all...this is a pretty close to good Italian sandwich. I prefer Laterie's in DC or Italian Store in Arlington...but, with this just out the door from work...this will be a regular stop.

Pro: The meat is fresh and the bread is fresh. Owner give you a sample.
Con: Takes a long time to make given it's a cold sandwhich.

Tried it for the first time and there are good and bad. Ham was way too salty but the bread was so fresh and soft. The dressing was very nice and I love the choice between sweet or hot peppers. Sandwich was pretty good with the exception of the salt content. I will try another sub without the ham next time.
Italian Subs truck serves delicious, high-quality subs in the District.
