Better to eat Blake's or other good frozen than get this.

The mac and cheese is pretty good and a pretty good value for the price; however, I'd be more likely to return if there were more veggie options: veggie beans, sauteed greens, mushrooms, tomatoes. There are so many possibilities, but the menu features known. Everything other than the mac and cheese itself is meat heavy.
Noodles are overcooked and mushy. Too light on the cheese. The chicken on top is good though.

Being a lover of Mac and Cheese, I was excited to try the food truck. Then when I got there I was even more excited to see that you could add bacon, pulled pork and my all-time favorite meat BRISKET! The portion I received was even more delightful because it was a nice size container for $11.
But, I must say this was an extreme let down. I’ll start with the Brisket, it’s not seasoned (in other words no RUB) at all and it was tough because it was cut in chunks and not slices. Which is really how Brisket should be served (I’m from Texas). I’ve been so sad since Capitol Q BBQ left Chinatown (best brisket in DC when they were open) since it sent me on a search for a replaceable equal. But Mac Attack’s brisket was like scavenger hunt trying to weed through the fatty parts to find a decent piece of meat.
The Mac and Cheese was also a complete let down. There was no cheese in it just a lonely layer on the top that was so hard you couldn’t push your fork through it. It was greasy (not sure if it was the brisket or if it was really greasy) and had no flavor (I think I tasted black pepper but I wasn’t sure gain because of the brisket).
If it’s one thing I know is Mac and Cheese, how to cook it, how it should taste and how it should look. It wasn’t a mac and cheese that anyone could be proud of. I started to think that had I got the pull pork it may have gone better but I’m sure that would have been subpar as well. Needless to say, I will not purchase from the Mac Attack Food truck again. If I were the owner, I would get someone to give me a full breakdown on Mac and Cheese prep/bake; as well as how to properly cook brisket and I will say pull pork. A smoker is best and it needs to have a dry rub.

This truck is horrible. Let's start with the basics... Mac n' Cheese. Considering the name, you would think at least that part of the meal would be good. NOPE. Pasta is so overly cooked (tried it twice) it's like mush in your mouth. No flavor, just grease and traces of cheese.
The BBQ you can optionally get on top is so greasy that you feel it after you finish. The meat was mostly skin and fat, and had some off-putting flavors. I usually like charred flavors, but after this meal, all I wanted was to get the flavor of this food out of my mouth.
I went for quantity over quality in my food truck choice and it was a BIG MISTAKE. I ended up with mushy, greasy flavorless mac, with a large portion of bbq skin and fat.
**You want to succeed as a food truck? Cook your mac to "al dente," not a soupy mess. Use real cheese and consistently. Provide the crumbled top that is described in the menu and supposed to come with it. Use quality bbq meat and clean the trimmings.*

Another customer that couldn't wait to try this truck, OMG got in this long line while jumping for joy thinking bacon in a cheesy mac and cheese with sauteed onions (which is my fave btw) my mouth was in for a party...HELL NO..this was a soggy juicy mess, I mean did you just take the macaroni out of the water or what...UUUGHHHH no onions, no 5cheeses, and no panko breadcrumbs, and then you don't even cut up the bacon, you throw pieces in here an there...I will never come here again, matter of fact if I felt like marching back up the road and around the corner, I would and get my darn $11 back..yes $11 for this piece of $(*(...and I just bought it, so pissed!!!!

I've eaten twice from this truck. The First time wasn't great, but I decided to give it another try. The mac & cheese is ok. It could be a lot better. It was VERY greasy, so much that oil dripped from it. The best part was the crunchy top. The pasta was cooked perfectly, but there was little to no cheese under the top. I also had the pulled pork. This too was very greasy, and also very salty. This truck has potential; the recipe just needs tweaking.

First visit. They were out of EVERYTHING except plain mac & cheese and pulled pork - at 1:14 p.m. Wondered if it was bad planning or if their food was THAT good. Don't know about the planning, but the Mack Attack was bland. Only a very vague hint of cheese flavor. And no Panko bread crumbs - I guess they were out of that, too. I expected better from my fave Carnivore BBQ peeps. MUCH better.

I was really excited to try this food truck. I enjoy other 'mac & cheese' themed trucks in DC and this one adds BBQ- what could go wrong?! Although it sounded amazing, I was extremely disappointed and could only eat the top half of it. The bottom of the box was a pool of grease, the macaroni was beyond overdone (falling apart) and the pulled 'pork' was primarily chunks of fat. I won't be returning.
Mac Attack is a Mac & Cheese food truck with a BBQ Fusion. It is brought to you by the pit-masters of Carnivore BBQ.
