Today was my first visit to Fava Pot, on the recommendation of a co-worker. I cannot say enough about the food or the proprietor, Dina.

The food is as close to perfect as I've ever tasted; it reminds me of my Armenian grandfather's cooking, which, until this time, I had considered incomparable. The chicken kabob is perfectly grilled and seasoned, the falafel is the best I've had in DC (just the right crispiness, flavor, and level of spice), and the hummus is amazing; it tastes very similar to the recipe my grandfather spent years perfecting.

Dina is so friendly, and her passion for her cooking and the incredible cause she supports is clear.

This is my new favorite food truck. I am so glad it is a Ballston regular.

I had the kofta sandwich, which comes wrapped in pita. When I picked the sandwich up to take my first bite, the pita completely distintegrated, and the sandwich fell apart. I had to resort to knife and fork. Taste was okay, but not as good as some of the other trucks. Also, please note that the prices displayed on this page are out of date; the sandwich was $8.75 plus tax, not $7.75 as currently shown below.

Very good falafel, sandwich is a nice size for $5. Sides are decent, but overpriced for the size and quality. Stick with the sandwiches.

This food was so delicious. The cornish hen was seasoned perfectly, the potatoes were fantastic, and the grape leaves were awesome. The only room for improvement would be the pita, in my opinion. Also, I think that was yogurt sauce that came with it, a tasty addition!

Did not enjoy that falafel sandwich- one of the balls was burnt to a crisp. The falafel were quite spicy (and I am used to spice...) and there wasn't much to it- one tiny tomato and a very little lettuce and onion...
They were nice and the order came fast but I wouldn't go back.

Beautiful clean truck. Up to date equiment inside. Everything came out of the refrigerator to the grill so it was FRESH.

Cooked to my desired taste which was well, well, well, well, well, done.

Time it was cooked perfect. Food stayed hot till I got back to my desk and then I was WOWED some more by the taste and obvious freshness of the food. I ate everything in my carton. I never had Sumac before and now I am in LOVE!!!

Can't wait till next week.

A very nice experience at Fava Pot today. Tasty kofta over pita with a nice little pile of roasted sumac potatoes and some mini dolma. Also came with a pita pizza, which was a 1/3 of a pita covered with some spicy tomato spread and sumac onions... it was tasty and I like the creatvity. The kofta was very tasty and well cooked - more lamb than beef and subtly spiced. I would have preferred rice and salad instead of pita and potatoes FWIW.

Big plus is that they serve their food in eco friendly containers with eco friendly utensils. I'll go back for that reason alone!
